Powder Rooms
With the goal to continue the opulence of the entry foyer into the adjacent powder room, the designers relied on the same rich materials to enhance the bath. The foyer's flooring of light limestone accented with a darker tone was brought into the powder room as was the foyer's paneled wainscot, chair rail, and baseboard. A round-front vanity is used for aesthetic appeal and to create better maneuver-ability through the tight entrance. The faux-painted walls above the wainscot pick up the tones of the limestone floor. In an unusual touch, the casing and entrance door are painted to match the satin nickel on the door and plumbing hardware. Despite the traditional details in the small space, including a beveled triptych mirror, a contemporary pendant with cased opal glass lends a bright accent.More resources:
